Finally back in Slateport. Again. For someone who lived halfway across the region, Chu-e found himself here a lot.

For now he was resting off the seasickness from his boat ride from Oldale, dreading the ride back to Mossaddep tomorrow morning. At least soon he would be home and curled up in his own bed and not having to worry about any more boats. But, for tonight, he had wanted to enjoy the city nightlife. Feeling the buzz of excited energy was as nice as seeing the decorations in the storefronts. The one selling the fresh gingerbread was calling his name....

But then his eyes caught on something even better than gingerbread. One of the smallest, cutest pokemon... probably ever. Chu-e was walking for the blond stranger before he even knew it, stopping just in front of him; his eyes not on Billi but on the little bug type making a break for the chocolate.

"I'm so sorry to bother you... That is the cutest pokemon I've seen all day. What is it?" Chu-e's eyes were practically sparkling as he leaned in, just a bit, to watch the Snom more closely.

It was only after the other answered that he realized... that was kind of super creepy, and it was weird to approach people randomly on the street. He flushed pink from embarrassment, giving a soft laugh at his own expense. "Thank you for letting me know!" He had wanted to practically melt the little thing was so cute when it had sneezed! "Sorry if that was weird. I just get, like, really excited about cute stuff."

Chu-e offered the other a small smile and was about to skedaddle away to save whatever was left of his pride. Then he also noticed the commotion as well and couldn't help but follow the other over. The Kirlia seemed to be pretty upset, making Chu-e roll his eyes a bit before he plastered on a smile and approached her.

"I have a lot of hot coco at my house! Want to come with me and I'll make you some?" He offered his hand to her. The Kirlia glowered at him, the brat, but eventually must have decided his vibes weren't absolutely rancid as she took it. Chu-e straightened back up and kept holding her hand, like a parent would a child. If she decided to stay with him, that would be a new friend to Prince; his Gardevoir could use some company of his own kind.

Since that issue seemed to be resolved, and the blond guy was still there, Chu-e did give him a lightly sheepish smile. "You know, I forgot to give you my name! I'm Ji-Hoon Ki, but you can just call me Ki if you want."

Catching Kirlia

The whole scene with the Kricketune was honestly a little bizarre. Chu-e used the chance to coax the Kirlia into a pokeball as he watched the antics. It was always nice to see someone be kind to wild pokemon, even the ones who were being kind of a pain, so he just kept that easy smile on his face as he watched. Noticing the commotion, a Shiinnotic had also wandered over to watch, a small bag of popcorn being munched on it had gotten from... somewhere.

"Same." He said to the grass type, who nodded and offered the bag to Chu-e. He gently waved it off, the pokemon shrugging and going back to watching the scene unfold.

When it was over Chu-e stuck around, his new friend sticking close as he approached the other again. "You have quite the way with words, Billi. If it's not any trouble, could I hang with you a little bit? You seem like you might be fun to be around."

At the compliment being Uno Reversed on him, Chu-e did seem flustered again, a slight pink high on his cheeks once again. "Well.. I just know Fairy type pokemon really well is all." He cleared his throat and glanced away, using this chance to take out two spare balls and properly 'capture' the Shiinotic. There was a Morelull waiting back home who could use a similar friend.

As if to spite him, a sleepy looking Ribombee took this chance to land in his hair. The bee quickly made himself comfortable, making a mess of Chu-e's hair in the process, before starting to snore.

"... You know, I think we're cut from the same cloth. Do you know how many of my pokemon I've actually, like, battled to capture them? I think maybe two." When Chu-e made 'friends', he usually had more food to bribe them with, though.

Chu-e was going to reply. He really was. Then he caught sight of the lumbering behemoth behind Billi and tensed, eyes wide, looking ready to flee. It wasn't the Abomasnow's fault in of itself, more the sins of it's kin. In the last three years, Chu-e had been kidnapped and almost killed twice by the wilder of these beasts. It he stepped back, hands flexed and ready over some of his more battle ready pokemon's balls... well, you couldn't really blame him.

"I can.. understand about aggressive pokemon." His Zoroark came to mind. Beepin was a loyal and good girl but she was vicious and half feral. Not the kind of pokemon he could trust in a crowd. Even as he spoke, his eyes were still on the grass and ice type. He was onto it's tricks.
